Shelter's facelift

SmallDog Shelter's much needed facelift

SmallDog's shelter houses 40 dogs 365 days a year. From 7 a.m. when the staff arrives until 9 p.m. when the last person leaves, dogs are running in and out the back door into the fenced in yard for potty breaks and playtime. After 6 years of daily wear and tear, our fence is in immediate need of repair. Rotted wood has caused some weak spots and we fear for the safety of our dogs. In addition to the fence repairs, we have an immediate need for shelter repairs and enhancements including elevated storage shelves, a dishwasher to get their water bowls thoroughly cleaned, a separate mop sink, and brighter lighting.

Above is part of our outdoor fencing. We have pens surrounding holes in the fence we know dogs could crawl under.

Here is a picture of the fence from the outside. As you see the wood needs replacing badly.

We need your immediate help for these specific items that have an overall impact on the well-being of all the animals and people at our shelter. Thank you for making a donation today for our home!

Below are some of the items we plan to purchase with these funds:
- base cabinets and wall cabinets
- dishwasher
- new lights and bulbs
- metal storage racks
- fence repairs or new fencing
- faucet
- smocks/aprons
- permanent baby gates
- plumbing/siding repairs
- outdoor patio furniture for play area
